NCERT introduces one year Diploma in Guidance and Counseling


NS National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has announced a one-year diploma course for training of professionals in guidance and counselling. Candidates can apply online ncert.nic.in The last date for submission of online application form is November 5, 2021.

The course will be a mix of both distance and face-to-face mode. The curriculum aims to enhance the skills and competencies of the teachers to promote the holistic development of the students and to handle their academic, socio-emotional and moral problems.

Teachers, teachers, school administrators and untrained guidance personnel from India can apply for the course. The course will be conducted in three phases, i.e. distance (six months; January-June 2022), face-to-face contact program at respective study centers (three months; July-September 2022), and internship in home town/workplace (three months; October -December 2022).

Applicants must attach self-attested copies of marks/grade sheets/degrees/certificates in support of qualifications and work experience with the application form.

Government deputation professionals from centrally funded organizations will have to pay Rs 19,500 as course fee, while the fee for government deputationists from state/UT departments is Rs 6,000. Private candidates willing to do the course will have to pay Rs.30,000.
