Navratri 2021: It is sad that Navratri festivities are almost coming to an end. Today is Ashtami, which is the eighth day of this religious festival. The eighth day is dedicated to Goddess Mahagauri, an incarnation of Goddess Durga. So far, we have managed to fast for eight consecutive days! It will seem like an achievement but there are still few days left in the journey. To keep this fast alive, we need a variety of fasting dishes, which we can eat during the whole process. Repeating fasting recipes can be dementing and hence, we need to be surprised with new delicious flavors every day. Here we bring you another fasting recipe that you can eat during Navratri. This time, the recipe uses Singhare flour, a fasting accepted ingredient that we love to eat. The dish we have brought for you is Singhare ki Kadhi.
Singhare ki Kadhi is a creamy sweet curry prepared without salt, garlic and onions, which makes it a perfect fasting recipe. This recipe is very easy to make and you don’t even need to spend much time in the kitchen!
How to make Singhare Kadhi:
While whipping the curd, beat it until smooth, add the shinghara flour to it. Whisk it well. Make sure there are no lumps. Take a heavy bottom pan on the gas, add ghee and cumin seeds and fry it. When it starts crackling, add ginger, green chili paste and mix it. Lower the heat and add the flour-curd mixture, stirring continuously for 10 minutes, add rock salt. Take it out in a serving bowl.
Now it is time to make tempering, heat ghee in a small pan. Add curry leaves and dry red chillies. Pour the tempering into the kadhi, your dish is ready!
Sounds easy, doesn’t it?! Make this delicious kadhi at home and enjoy it during the fast. Tell us in the comment section how you liked it.
