Eighth Considered an important day during the 9-day long Hindu festival Navratri and Bollywood actors Kajol Devgani Heads turned as she stepped into a backless blue Banarasi sari to celebrate strength, virtue, the destroyer of evil and to celebrate Maa Durga. On Ashtami, Mahagauri avatar of Maa Durga is worshiped by devotees and Kajol cannot be left behind as she flaunts her royal, bold and ethnic look for Durga Ashtami Puja.
Taking to her social media handle, Kajol shared a glimpse of her sultry look, which is enough to clear our fashion woes during this festive week. The pictures showed the diva wearing a muted gold embellished cut sleeves blouse, which came with wide straps and a plunging neckline to ooze oomph.
Kajol layered it with a regal blue handwoven Banarasi silk saree, which featured Anita’s signature hand embroidery of gota patti made by the brand’s master craftsmen. The splendor of the six yards was enhanced with works of pearl and zari embellishments along the opposite border.
Pulling her luscious hair back into a low ponytail, Kajol flaunted a pair of drop pearl Navratna flower studs from Jewellery, which came with gold plating, a bracelet from Anka by Nishant Tulsiani and a pair of earrings to ace the ethnic vibe. A small dot. Wearing a dab of rosy lipstick, Kajol upped the glam quotient with rosy blush and highlighted cheeks, kohl-lined eyes with black eyeliner streaks, mascara-laden eyelids and filled-in brows.
Posing stunningly for the camera, Kajol immediately inspired us to recreate the look. She captioned the picture, “Day 2. Wishing everyone a very Happy Durga Ashtami. #daytwo (sic).”
The ensemble is credited to the eponymous brand of Indian fashion designer, Anita Dongre, who boasts of an affinity with indigenous craft tradition, a modern aesthetic, luxurious designs that leave unforgettable impressions, exquisite ensembles and handcrafted jewellery. saree basically cost ₹80,000 on the designer website.
