The Kapil Sharma Show recently hosted three of the most popular Bollywood actresses of the 90s–Juhi ChawlaAyesha Jhulka and Madhu Shahi. In a short clip from the show, Juhi talks about an unknown connection between herself and Madhu.
Kapil asked Juhi, “I just came to know that you and Madhu ji aaps mein relationship ho (I just found out that you and Madhu are related).” Juhi replied, “Yes. Yeh Meri Devrani Hai (Yes, she is my sister-in-law).”
Setting up the connection, Kapil said, “Aapka pati bade hai, inke pati se… hum herse (because your husband is older than your husband… like that).” However, he quipped, “Otherwise the heroines are smaller than each other.” His joke left everyone in splits including guest judge Archana Puran Singh.
Juhi was the star of many hits in the 90s like Darr, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Yes Boss, Ishq and Duplicate. Madhu was seen in movies like Roja, Phool Aur Kaante, Diljale and others. While Juhi is married to businessman Jai Mehta, Madhu is married to Anand Shah. Jai and Anand are cousins.
Madhu was recently seen in Thalaivi opposite Kangana Ranaut. The film is based on the life of late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. Madhu’s father, P Raghunathan was a producer and she is the cousin of actor Hema Malini.
Recently, while talking to Hindustan Times about the opportunities he got in his career, he said, “Yes, being an insider I had an easy access, but did it turn into film projects, I don’t like that. It seems. If your movies don’t do business then no one will work with you. It works that way. But, if someone has been mistreated, humiliated and hurt physically or emotionally then It is his prerogative to be defensive or aggressive. However, from my own experience, I cannot say that the entire industry is bad.”
The Kapil Sharma Show episode featuring Juhi, Ayesha and Madhu will air later this week.
