Jugal Hansraj Packed in nostalgia when she danced on Aankhen Khuli from the movie Mohabbatein. movie with stars Shahrukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Uday Chopra, Shamita Shetty, Kim Sharma, Jimmy Shergill and Preeti Jhangiani marked Jugal’s successful film as lead actor.
In a video shared online, Jugal was seen on the sets of the shoot when the song arrived. Dressed in formal attire, Jugal broke into hookstep, but soon admitted that he didn’t remember the choreography perfectly. He inspired others to join in as well.
Mohabbatein was released in 2000 and was directed by Aditya Chopra. This was the director’s first film after the success of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. Before Mohabbatein, Jugal gained popularity as a child artist. He had acted in films like Masoom, Karma and Sultanate.
After Mohabbatein, Jugal made guest appearances in films such as Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Salaam Namaste and Aaja Nachle (2007). He also experimented with the director’s seat for Roadside Romeo and Pyaar Impossible.
While his career didn’t go as he imagined, he told Hindustan Times last year that he has no regrets about it. “I have enjoyed working. I did well despite coming from a non-film background. I still remember it. I didn’t work with anyone, I was a professional and people still keep in touch with me.”
“I signed my first film as an adult for Manmohan Desai in 1989, which was my return to acting, but it never started and throughout my career, it has happened a lot. To date, about 35 to 40 of the projects I signed on have never taken off. In the last 30 years, that’s really a lot. I would have worked too much, but it didn’t start. Not that I wasn’t interested, but what can one do if the movies stop? I wish they started,” he said.
